Singapore to Genting Highlands with Toddler | Genting Skyworlds Hotel review
Travelling is a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and most importantly, it's a way for us to be together as a family. However, travelling with a toddler is definitely going to be a different ball game.
As much fun as you have in your travels, there will always be some challenges along the way. If you are currently planning your next trip with your toddler or if this is your first time travelling overseas with your toddler, read on for some tips for traveling with toddler.
There's nothing better than a good pair of shoes especially when you're travelling - for you are bound to be walking more than usual, exploring new places. No wonder they say good shoes take you to good places and give a girl the right pair of shoes and she will conquer the world!
I must say that I am very pleased that I dropped by Arch Angel at Purvis Street to pick out this pair of flats from Usaflex after a foot analysis by the staff there prior to my trip to Tainan.
Prior to my Japan trip, I had Ueno Park listed down as one of the must-go places in Tokyo especially after reading about how it is one of Tokyo's most popular and lively cherry blossom spots with more than 1000 cherry trees lining its central pathway in late March and early April each year. Plus, it is the best place to hold hanami (cherry blossom viewing) parties! If you aren't familiar with hanami parties, basically you bring a picnic mat and enjoy viewing cherry blossoms with family or friends while having a hanami bento which can be bought from (Isetan Shinjuku & Daimaru Tokyo).
Frequented by office workers on weekdays and families on weekends, the close proximity to Meguro station makes 麺家ばく a popular place for dinner after work. While we were there, we spotted a group of Japanese high-school girls too!
During my 10D9N Japan trip (Tokyo > Kyoto > Osaka) from 11-20 April this year, I stayed at Hotel Abest Meguro in Tokyo for 3 nights.
Most travelers would choose to stay at either Shibuya or Shinjuku during their stay in Tokyo. So what exactly made me settle for Hotel Abest Meguro situated at Meguro, two stops away from Shibuya? Read on to find out more!

Even though Batam is a mere 45-minutes away from Singapore, I haven't been there until my recent trip with my girl-friends over the Hari Raya Puasa holidays.
I must admit that I wasn't very much hyped-up prior to the trip given that I received nonchalant replies from almost everyone whom I spoked to about me going to Batam very the first time.
Was Batam really as how they mentioned it - Nothing to do in Batam, nothing to buy in Batam or nothing exciting in Batam?

Chatuchak Market, also known as Jatujak or JJ Market situated on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road, is the largest market in Thailand. It has more than 8000 stalls, separated into 27 sections.
Apart from being the place to go for good shopping bargains, it is a food haven too! From the famous coconut ice cream to chicken noodles, there is bound to be something to satisfy your tastebuds!
Spring & Summer in Bangkok? We are not talking about different seasons in Bangkok but a grassy compound actor-owned restaurant in Phrom Phong. When I first read about Spring & Summer in a Taiwan travel blog while doing research for my Bangkok trip, I knew I have to add it to my itinerary and check it out myself in person.
One of the must-try traditional breakfast place in Hong Kong has got to be Australia Dairy Company. They are known for their egg custard pudding and scrambled egg. Don't be misled by the name of this cha chaan teng, it has nothing to do with the country Australia. However, it is said that the boss of Australia Dairy Company once worked in an Australian farm in the 1940s thus that was how the name of the cha chaan teng came about.
Having been around since 1928, Lin Heung Tea House serves the most authentic and traditional dim sum in Hong Kong.
Located on Wellington Street, in between Sheung Wan MTR and Central MTR station, Lin Heung Tea House is best accessed by foot from either MTR stations.

Being a mere 4 hours flight from Singapore makes Hong Kong an ideal travel destination to many.
Apart from being a shopping haven to many, did you know that Hong Kong is well-renowned for its street food too?
Whenever I travel, I make it a point to visit the drugstores, local traditional markets and supermarkets in the country. In Korea, we got Lotte Mart and in Bangkok, there's Big C Supercenter.
Since most people would choose to stay in the vicinity of Pratunam, the most convenient Big C Supercenter would be Big C Supercenter Rajdamri which is located directly opposite Central World.

Alive Museum Singapore | Korean Trick Art Museum in Singapore
Last Friday, I met up with my bestie, Carissa after work. Instead of our usual dinner and shopping, we had a crazy awesome night snapping away in Alive Museum Singapore, located in Suntec City Mall.
Alive Museum Singapore is the largest 3D illusionary museum in Singapore. It has a total of 84 paintings so make sure you go there early! We were there at about 8pm but we couldn't finish them all within 2 hours. ):
Tip #1:
Set aside at least 3 hours for your visit to Alive Museum Singapore so that you have ample time to cover all of the exhibits.
Step back in time when you step into Duddell Street Starbucks.
Duddell Street Starbucks in Central, Hong Kong is the World’s first-ever Starbucks store to incorporate a BING SUTT (冰室) corner - fusing together a nostalgic retro style with a contemporary coffeehouse design. Partnering Hong Kong lifestyle brand G.O.D., the corner of the Duddell Street Starbucks was transformed into a “BING SUTT” with decorations and traits to blend the Hong Kong style from the ‘50s through the ‘70s with today’s sensibilities.
When I first read about Duddell Street Starbucks online, I knew I had to check it out in person the next time I visit Hong Kong and true enough, I did during my trip to Hong Kong last November.
Minsu 民宿, also known as bed & breakfast (b&b) or homestay is an unique accomodation alternative to the conventional hotels in Taiwan. What makes Minsu a popular choice for tourists is that they often have specific theme to it such as the Mediterranean Sea or English Cottage.
Aside from that, you get to interact closely with hospitable Minsu owners. Since they are locals, it makes it ideal to ask them for recommendations on the must-try food and must-go places in the area.
When my family and I were planning a trip to Taiwan last year, we thought why not give Minsu a try just so we could immerse ourselves in the friendly Taiwanese culture.

At the very mention of Hong Kong, the first thing that comes to mind is probably the high cost of living which in turn affect the tourists in terms of accommodation and food expenses.
When I told my friends and colleagues that I was going to Hong Kong for a short getaway last year, I received responses such as, "But Hong Kong is so expensive, why would you want to go there?"
Well, Hong Kong is not that expensive actually if you do your homework and know where to stay and where to eat.

Hi lovelies, I'm finally back to writing about my Korea trip which is way overdue. January has been a real busy month for me at work, both over at my day job as well as working on articles for SweetestSins' clients. I finally have some time to go through my half-written drafts sitting there just to be completed.
Everytime I do travel posts, be it the must-visit or the must-eat, it makes me miss that country so much that I would get an air ticket and fly there immediately if I could. Isn't it ironic that when we were younger, we had plenty of time on hand but financially, we weren't independent enough to travel a few times a year but as we grow older, the finance part is not so much of a problem but we don't have that time flexibility we used to? #woesofgrowingup
