NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Pearl Shadow

Hi lovelies, the limelight of this post is gonna be on NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Pearl Shadow in Light Pink and Nude which I got last year. You might ask, "But, why the sudden interest in pigments?" Well well well, because I bought a bottle of pigment lately and it only dawned on me that I do own two pigments from NYX upon reaching home. -.-" Does this happen to you girlies? I always forget what makeup I have and ended up buying something similiar or worse still, a replicate of it. Gosh. Anyway, I was feeling skeptical as I was afraid that I have gotten the same color as my NYX Ultra Pearl Mania. But lucky for me, it was of a similiar but not identical shade.

What is it:

Loose shadows each packaged in mini jars. The loose pearl powder made with super finely-milled mineral powders provides high impact color in long-lasting shades.

Likes:

- Very fine shimmers
- Shimmer was just right, not too overboard
- Buildable color
- Very affordable

Dislikes:

- Packaging

I must say that I am rather new to pigments as I don't own that many. However, I do like using NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Pearl Shadow for highlighting or applying it on top of an eyeshadow base over all my eyelids. I also liked the fact that the shimmer was just right. You could build up the color or intensity by applied more or using a wet brush. I haven't tried MAC pigments so I can't really compare the quality. But I do think that NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Loose Pearl Shadow is good for beginners because it is so affordable! The retail price is only USD$3 at NYX for a 5ml bottle. Such a good bargain isn't it? I like how compact it is that I can bring it around in my makeup pouch.

The only downside is probably the packaging. The opening of the jar is simply too small to put a brush in. Hence I usually pour the amount that I need out.

I shall not go on any further, here is what you girlies have been waiting for. Do I hear swatches please? The first two swatches are taken before blending the pigments while the last two are the pigments blended out.
