I have always wanted to try out SexyLook facial masks as I have seen it in Nu Ren Wo Zui Da several times, both on the variety show as well as the magazine. Plus, my friend, B loves it so much that she bought a whole truckload of them back from her Taiwan trip and she couldn't stop telling me how good they were, saying that they are comparable, if not better than My Beauty Diary facial masks. So, imagine my delight when Lush Group sent me both SexyLook Intensive Firming Duo Lifting Mask and SexyLook Extra Brightening Duo Lifting Mask for review.

Unlike what B had told me about having to be careful with SexyLook facial masks because they contain a lot of essence and how it drips while she was putting on the face mask, I did not experienced that. As usual, there were some leftover essence (about the size of a 50-cent coin) in the pack after taking the facial mask out. Personally, I don't think that it contains as much essence as My Beauty Diary masks. In fact, the facial mask felt dry especially at the areas around the nose, jaw and forehead. Hence I would pat the leftover essence onto my cheek area, nose, forehead and chin.

The tightening effect was a one-off thing which disappears after 30 minutes to an hour after you remove the mask while the brightening effect lasted about 2-3 hours after washing the serum off. A tip to share with you girls - I normally put on the facial mask before I go to sleep and I would remove it only after it has dry up. After that, I would pat my face to let the essence absorb better. I would leave it on and only wash my face with water in the morning. This would make your face look brighter and feel very smooth. In fact, it would be so smooth that you will feel that it is so easy for makeup to glide on.

While hook on masks are very convenient in the sense that it doesn't come off/slip easily, still I do not like the fact that the ear hooks are so tight. Hence, I would use my fingers to expand the ear hooks a little so that they wouldn't feel that tight. It gets a little uncomfortable when its too tight.

Similar to the Extra Brightening Duo Lifting Mask, there was some leftover essence after taking out the Intensive Firming Duo Lifting Mask from the packaging.

I did not experience any tingling sensation like how I did when I put on Heme 24hr Hydrating Ultra-White Lift V-Mask

Although most of you would expect Intensive Firming Duo Lifting Mask to provide firming and toning effects only, but it brightens up my skin tone as well! In fact, the brightening effect was more obvious as compared to after using Extra Brightening Duo Lifting Mask. The brightening effect lasted for about 3 hours after using the essence off. I also noticed that my face looked more 'V' after using Intensive Firming Duo Lifting Mask. The 'V-shape' effect lasted for about 3-4 hours. I'm not sure if it is because I was massaging my face prior to using the facial mask.

If any of you girls or I had to choose only one, I say, "Go for SexyLook Intensive Firming Duo Lifting Mask" because it brightens your skintone and lifts your face and the effects are more visible!
