Here is the last picture which I took before we left Macau. Feeling sad because Macau's such a wonderful place. I love their food, culture and buildings especially! Btw, if you were to look carefully, you would see that that's actually their grandstand for Formula 1 or better known as F1. Haha.

Upon arriving in Hong Kong, our first stop was H&M.

I had high hopes of bringing back a huge haul from H&M, however sad to say. There wasn't very much that appealed to me. And I blamed it on the season. Nonetheless, I managed to get two Hello Kitty eyeshadow palettes and hairclips which I think it reminds me so much of Blair! I used to be a huge Hello Kitty fan. I remember my parents, especially my Dad would get so many Hello Kitty stuffs for me. Remember the Macdonalds Hello Kitty craze? Nah, we weren't that keen to queue up hence we only got like the Japanese and Chinese version ones. I also remember that my Mom got me Hello Kitty bedsheets. Looking back, I think I really had an unhealthy obsession with Hello Kitty. To say the truth, my obsession with Hello Kitty actually died down until I went to Macau and Hong Kong. There's like boutiques and department stores which have brands that has Hello Kitty printed all over their merchandise. -.-" But I couldn't resist the eyeshadow palettes so I got them anywhere. Since I have so many eyeshadow palettes, I might do a giveaway for the Hello Kitty palettes for my followers.

And then we went to SOGO where I got my Mom Kamill Classic Hand and Nagelcreme.

Its really good, very moisturizing I would say. And the good thing about it is that it doesn't feel your hands feeling greasy unlike how some hand cream would, for I hate the feeling of having greasy hands that I can't type or write with ease.

After which, we headed back to our hotel, Kimberly Hotel to rest and leave our shopping bags in our room before we went for dinner. We had dinner at a traditional Shanghai restaurant that serves Wanton Chicken. Its wanton soup with a whole chicken. Super delicious. Sorry no pictures because I was feeling so tired and hungry that I immediately tucked in once the food was served. We had a lot of other food but I remember their Shanghai Greens. It was so crunchy yet contain a mild fragance. I think they might have added butter to cook it.

After dinner, we took the MTR to Mongkok. Our first stop was Langham Place. There is another huge H&M there.

I wanted to get Jill Stuart Fruit Lip Balm hence we went to Seibu.

Guess what? The beauty advisor that served me was the same one that served me over at Macau's Yaohan. Such a coincidence, ain't it?

Anyway, I was surprised to know that Bourjois is a department store brand over at Hong Kong. They had counters and a beauty advisor to help you with makeovers. And over at Watson's, I saw Ettusias being sold, which means Ettusias is a drugstore brand over there.

While walking around, I saw Lush again. I was thinking of getting some stuffs for my Mom. She loves powder while I don't. I think powder is rather messy. Hence, I got her Silky Underwear. I read that in the past people apply powder so that they could slip on their underwear with ease.

Bought Vitamin E and C toner tabs for myself. It looks rather interesting but I haven't got time to try it out though.

Our next stop is Argyle Center. It is kind of similiar to our Far East Plaza and Bugis Street in Singapore. They sell mostly girls clothing, shoes, bags and everything.

I had exercised self control and also because some of the stuffs that I want was out of stock, hence this is what I have gotten.

3 dresses/tunics and 1 cardigan

As I was saying, there is Bonjour and Sasa everywhere. But, they sell different things in different outlets. As in like while this particular Bonjour store don't carry brand A, the one across the street carry brand A but doesn't carry brand B. And guess what? The store layout of Bonjour is so poorly planned that it makes it so hard to navigate around the store to find what you want. Not to mention that it has got fluroscent lights everywhere. Sasa's store layout was much better but the merchandise line and depth ain't that wide and deep compared to Bonjour's. Plus and minus points I say, depending on what you are looking for.

After going to 2 Bonjour stores and 2 Sasa stores, these are what I picked up. Pretty good self control right?

Took a cab back to the hotel to leave our shopping bags down. We washed up a little and went down for supper. Had wanton soup and almond milk. Did I mention that Hong Kong has got the best wanton soup? Super delicious, especially the prawns so succelent!

The next morning we had breakfast at the 茶餐厅 along the same street as the one that we went to the previous night. It is called 轻松一下. I think that this cafe has got better food, compared to the previous one that we went to.

A couple of street views along Tsim Sha Tsui for your viewing pleasure. I realised that I didn't take much photos in Hong Kong. Reason being, there ain't much stuffs to take. Basically, their shops at street view look rather attractive, whilst it gets pretty much the opposite as you look up.

Oh yes, Guardian is called Mannings in Hong Kong.

I went into Guardian after breakfast intending to browse around and I found this!

Lip therapy with Rose & Almond Oil Vaseline Petroleum Jelly Rosy Lips

This is highly-raved in MakeupAlley! It provides a rosy sheer and kissable look when applied to the lips.

The cashier over at Mannings kept pushing this (see picture below) to me after I made my purchase despite me saying no. I was puzzled plus a little furious because I don't like brouchures etc.

When I opened it up, then I realised that it was a brochure containing samples from the entire range. No wonder she kept insisiting that I take it. Haha, my bad. Personally, I think that it is a good way of promoting a product by giving away samples along with the brouchure, so that one can try out the product after reading it. Say if it is just a mere brouchure, I would probably read it (that is if it interests me enough) and chuck it away. I would probably forget about it until the next time I sees it. Hence, by incorporating the samples in the brouchure, it kind of encourages trial which would increase the brand of being remembered.

Alright, to spare you from my analysis, here are some snacks that I got from Hong Kong.

Jill Stuart False eyelashes

These fake eyelashes are the softest I have seen and touched thus far! It really adds a lot more volume to your current (naked) eyelashes. While I do not see myself using it in the meanwhile, I would definitely reserve it for special occasions when I need more 'oomph' to glam up my entire look.

Jill Stuart Blush Blossom 101 Sensual Dahlia

The main highlight of the collection as well as the reason why I bought this set. I just tried the blush today and I was like wow. I have never used any blush in loose form but I really like the fact that this powder blush is so fine. In case you do not know, fine powder gives a smoother finish and appears less cakey. In fact, I was looking at my face this morning after leaving my place when I realised that my face looked smoother than usual. I didn't know that blush could do that! I always thought that it is either primer or powder that gives a smooth finish.

Before I forget, this blush is best applied with a large blush brush with a light hand so that it looks more natural instead of dowdy. You might ask, "Why the trouble?" Well, it is because I normally use a dense blush brush to apply my Benefit Coralista or Majolica Majorca Powder Blush in RD255 as they are less pigmented. It is better to apply Jill Stuart Blush Blossom with a large blush brush as it is rather pigmented.

I have always prefered rose gold or coral-orange looking blush over pink ones because I thought that the latter would make me look more tanned. But boy, I was wrong, so wrong. In fact, Jill Stuart Blush Blossom in Sensual Dahlia made me look fairer! Now I'm convinced that I can carry off nude coral pink and coral red blush.

Jill Stuart Jelly Lip Gloss 102 Silky Pink

Before you start to think that this is yet another of your typical lip gloss, let me tell you - it is not, definitely. You know at times, I really hate lip glosses because either they feel sticky or worse still, sometimes they sting the lips. Not to mention that sometimes they look like a layer of film when applied over lip stick.

You know I really did wish that I tried this lip gloss earlier when I was still in Macau/Hong Kong so I can buy a backup of it. I really like it a lot. Its not sticky unlike other lip glosses and it looks good when applied on top of lipsticks or even on its own. Did I mention that it makes your lips look moist like a baby? Furthermore, it comes with a jewel on its cap, tell me what's not to like about it?

Night Jewel Perfumed Body Powder

Bascially, this is a body puff with perfumed body powder. I doubt I will be using this anytime soon because I have got so many perfumes, deodorants and powders waiting for me to use them!

Apart from the Secret Tease Collection, I did get an eyeshadow palette and a perfume from Jill Stuart.

I have seen Jill Stuart Jewel Crystal Eyes in various beauty blogs and was intrigued by it. Tell me which girl won't be? Especially with the pretty, girlie and at the same time sophisticated packaging.

I liked how the Jill Stuart Beauty Advisor did her eye makeup and she told me that she used Jill Stuart Jewel Crystal Eyes in Crystal Ruby to achieve it. Oh did I mention that all Jill Stuart Beauty Advisors look so pretty? In fact, they all had doll-like eyes and flawless makeup. Among all the beauty brands, I think that Jill Stuart Beauty Advisors are the most pretty. You can really see that they make an effort to dress up, do their make up and hair.

I don't know why but I seem to have a thing for plum shades nowadays. Every time I try to reach out for a color to do smokey eyes, I keep reaching out for plum. I think it is a good alternative to brown/copper or grey/black which I use most of the time.

And the last item which I got is -

After breakfast, we walked around our hotel and I captured more pictures.

Awww.. I just love the blue sky and the blue canopy water.

Next, we took a cab and headed over to Macau Mazu Cultural Village.

It was up in the hills and it felt really peaceful as one can really sort out his or her thoughts, away from the distractions of busy districts.

That is the entrance. We had to take a shuttle bus up.

Upon alighting, we were welcomed by smoothing music. I kept wondering where did the music came from, only to realize that they had built-in speakers hidden inside the patch of grass as shown above.

Here are some sculptures which have rather intricate workmanship. Those craftsmen whom did them are sure talented!

I never got to see them in real life before, but now I do!

After walking for a while, we got to the top where Ma-zu was located.

The sun was scotching hot hence I didn’t managed to take a good picture of Ma-zu. She faces the sea because the people believe that she watches out for the safety of fishermen when they go out to the sea to fish.

I was surprised at how foggy it is. You can barely see the buildings below.

Doesn’t Babylon Casino reminds you of the glass windows as seen in Catholic churches? Well, it certainly reminds me of them.

The design is such that every part of the building differs in color depending on the sun. At parts where the sun shines on the building, the glass would reflect brightly and the building would look as if as it was glistening. And the other parts would appear darker. It is very interesting.

You know, at times, I wish I could slow down and take a walk slowly to discover interesting things in my home country, Singapore. But as you know, I have to step back into reality ultimately. After all, that’s how the world works. You work hard, reap what you sow and then you can enjoy. It is a continuous cycle. I don’t know about others, but once I have made up my mind to do something, I will make sure that I put in my very best to achieve it because I do not want to look back and regret. Why? Because there is no point crying over split milk. So I rather work hard and then I can play hard later on.

So we finally reached Macau Fisherman’s Wharf.

Rock’s Hotel

I love Rock’s Hotel because its faces the sea. And they had a balcony where guests could have their breakfast, while reading newspapers or magazines and enjoying the ocean breeze. Wow, that is what I call life.

And I happen to spot some attap-house inspired resort. It used to be occupied but now its vacant.

You would probably be thinking, “What? Fountains again?” You might not be able to share my immense love for fountains.

But you know what? I really do love fountains a lot, not to mention those with sculptures and you can hardly find any fountains in Singapore, unless you are referring to those outside Ngee Ann City. But I do know of a fountain around City Hall area that has got sculptures on it.

Can you spot the monkey in the picture? I like this kind of rustic, kampong style too. Especially the vases, they sure look like antiques.

While walking down the street, this window display managed to capture my attention.

For those of you whom know me personally or have been following my blog closely, you would know the reason why this particular window display managed to capture my attention – because it is very my style (pearls, filigree prints). In fact, this would be a scene which I would like to recreate if I am given a chance to.

I really like how the entire window display is presented. It depicts a very comfortable home setting where the lady is just sitting down on the couch. You will never be able to guess the nature of the merchandise from this shop.

Now, that’s quite a bit of effort that they put into for the window display compared to other their other counterparts, ain’t it?

And I spotted a prince and princess holding hands.

That is the very naughty me trying to separate them. Haha.

I was quite surprised to see it there because I didn’t know they had one in Macau. However, I was a little disappointed because it looked more orangey-beige than gray.

I really like this corridor. It looks kinda Vienna and I reckon that its good for some outdoor shoots here. Guess what? It is the corridor of a bridal shop. No wonder!

I think these pots looks very interesting and it does reminds me of men in turbans carrying them on their shoulders.

They had a see-through floor so you could see the ground below. And yes, that’s my foot and I’m walking on the see-through floor. In case you are wondering, no it isn’t scary at all. It is very fun. In fact, I kept walking on it and even took a video.

Of course I had to take some scenery shots while I am up on the tower. So, here you go.

We pass by so many people each day. We come into contact with so many people. But how often do we stop and smile or even say thank you when a stranger makes your day by a small gesture?

For me, I make it a point to thank everyone, even strangers be it when they hold the door for me, bus drivers waiting for me to board the bus or even the lady or gentleman whom sells food to me. Why do I do that? Because without these people, my day won’t be as pleasant, I won’t be able to arrive at my destination and I won’t be able to have my meals.

Everyone plays a part in our lives. So do take the opportunity to thank everyone whom has made your day.

After that, we went to the 10th Macau Food Festival.

I was so happy because we kept passing by the food festival while cabbing to various places and I finally went. It is all the bright lights' fault because they keep calling out for me!

Yes this is how a typical food stall in the food festival looks like. Are you awed by it? Don’t be because there are stalls which look even better.
