Late June and Early July Cumulative Haul from Watsons, Sasa, Daiso, Korea and Hong Kong
As all of you know, Daiso is one of my favourite store. I swear I have never walked out of it without at least getting an item. At times, I would tell myself to go in and pick up whatever I need and go. But you know what? That never happens because I would find myself browsing around looking at the different and interesting merchandise that they carry. During other times, I would walk in just to browse at the items. Daiso is amazing because the merchandise always seems to be calling out to me. Haha. I know you are probably gonna say, "Hey, that's just an excuse to buy things." But you know you can always satisfy your urge for impulse purchases without breaking a big hole in your pocket at Daiso. Omg, I think I totally sound as though as I am advertising for Daiso. But trust me, I ain't.
Anyway, here are a couple of items that I got. Only 3 items though.
Daiso Haul
I got the artificial nails so that I could practice nail art and at the same time use them for special functions, especially when I don't have time for a manicure. Did I mention how fuss-free artificial/fake nails are? Plus, removing them is a breeze. You just have to soak them in warm water if you're using nail tapes or acetone if you used nail glue as the adhesive previously.
As all of you know how crazy I am over facial masks recently, I immediately grabbed a pack of compressed facial masks. I read somewhere that you could pour a bit of your lotion onto the compressed facial mask and use it as a facial mask. I bought it to try since its only 2 bucks. Kose has something like that but its priced much higher.
And the last item that I got is a cosmetic syringe. I'm not gonna tell you why I got this for now but I'm gonna do up a post to explain its uses, so do check back to find out!
Watsons Haul
Do you girls realised that different Watsons carries different merchandise? For instance, only certain Watsons has Canmake and even so, some of them don't carry Cheek & Cheek or at times, they don't have the tester. That probably explains why I only got the Canmake Cheek & Cheek only now.
I knew that I had to get it when I first saw it on Chantana's blog. They were so pretty! A lot of beauty bloggers compare Canmake Cheek & Cheek's packaging to Jill Stuart Mix Blush Compact. I was so tempted to get Jill Stuart Mix Blush Compact back when I was in Macau but I didn't cave in though because I bought Jill Stuart Secret Tease Collection which already came with Blush Blossom in Sensual Dahlia.
After swatching all of them, I finally made up my mind to get Canmake Cheek & Cheek in 01 Candy Flower because it matches my skintone well. It is also the most shimmery of all when swatched. 02 Rose Tiara and 03 Gerbera Kiss looked kinda chalky on my tanned skin. I think that I would probably putting 04 Love Blossom on my shopping list for my next trip to Watsons because the colors are also so pretty! In fact, the color of the blush kinda reminds me of my Jill Stuart Blush Blossom in Sensual Dahlia.
Canmake Cheek & Cheek in 01 Candy Flower
Have you all tried or swatched Canmake Cheek & Cheek? Which is your favourite? Do share with me!
I hope you girls like this post! Thanks for reading.
Love,
Patricia
Apart from that, I like the fact that certain parts of the mask could be tore to make the mask fit better. The facial mask smells like soy bean to me. It was quite gentle and I did not experience any tingling sensation.
I hope you girls like this post.
Love,
Patricia
My Beauty Diary Hello Kitty Strawberry Milk Mask and Honey Strawberry Mask
Look at how cute the packaging of each individual mask is!
These masks were on the top of my shopping list for B because they were recently launched and are only available in Japan and Taiwan. I used to be an avid Hello Kitty lover back when I was younger. Am not so into it as I grew older but somehow after my Hong Kong trip, my love for Hello Kitty sorta came back.
I haven't tried the Honey Strawberry Mask because I haven't opened it yet. However, I have tried the Strawberry Milk Mask. I only opened this pack of mask to include it in SweetestSins 1st Giveaway package of H&M Hello Kitty eyeshadow palette for the winners, Jiayi and Diana. Count yourself lucky girls because it ain't available in Singapore!
My first impression of the Strawberry Milk Mask was that it kinda reminds me of Meiji Strawberry Milk, except that the smell ain't that strong. Like other My Beauty Diary masks, it makes your skin smoother after using it. I find that the Strawberry Milk Mask is good for whitening and brightening as I could see that my face looked brighter after using it. Plus, the cute packaging makes me smile, so tell me what's not to like about it? (:
Shiseido Integrate Mineral Loose Powder in #1
I have long wanted to get Integrate Mineral Loose Powder but I couldn't find it in any Bonjour or Sasa during my trip to Hong Kong. Its one of the highly-raved products in Nu Ren Wo Zui Da. Plus, I haven't tried any other mineral foundation before apart from Everyday Minerals which disappointed me.
B actually bought the wrong shade for me. I wanted #2 but she got me #1 instead. But you know what? #1 suits me perfectly. Can't imagine how it will look if she really got me #2.
I tried to buff Integrate Mineral Loose Powder onto my face with a kabuki brush and I was amazed at how flawless and smooth it looked and felt. There are slight light reflecting particles in the powder which gives your face a glowly feel. I haven't tried wearing the foundation out so I can't say much about its staying power. I will give a more comprehensive review once I have tried it out for a longer period of time.
Watsons Haul
Remember my previous post which I mentioned that I was unable to get anything from Watsons? Well, I went into Watsons a few days ago while waiting for my Mom to get off work and guess what I came out with?
Maybelline Pure Pact Mineral Two-way Cake Foundation
Majolica Majorca Puff de Cheek in Apricot Macaron OR302
Got the former because my Kate UV Pressed Powder has hit pan and I don't want to risk having to run out one day to get a compact or pressed powder. And also because the case is so pretty. I have wanted to get Maybelline Pure Pact Mineral Two-way Cake Foundation long ago because I liked how smooth the texture and how soft the powder felt but the packaging was so ugly back then. Plus, I haven't used a 2-way cake foundation since 2006?! Hence, its time to try it again to see if it still works for me!
And I got the latter because they were having a 25% discount going on. And since I was debating whether a not to get OR302 the other time, I thought I might as well get it since its considered rather cheap compared to PK301 that I paid full retail price for.
Daiso Haul
Aha! Daiso, my favourite store! I can never walk out of Daiso empty-handed no matter what. There's beauty supplies, food, stationery and storage supplies. To sum it up, they have almost everything!
As usual, I walked into Daiso wanting to get just one item, which I forgot upon stepping inside because I was overwhelmed by the merchandise that it carries. I always spend more than 20 minutes inside Daiso looking at their merchandise.
Anyway, I bought Japanese Green tea. Its not bad, considering that its only $2. I have wanted to stock up more initially because they always run out of stock over at Daiso, but I remembered that I still have a few boxes of tea at home. Don't you all just love tea? I love green tea, red tea, earl grey, english breakfast tea and barley tea!
Japanese Green Tea
And the next item that I got is -
Rabbit-shaped Soap Dish
My mom thinks that it looks like a pig instead. ): To prove my point that it doesn't, here is another picture that makes it look more like a rabbit.
Guess why did I get it?
.
.
.
.
.
I got it to store my Lush Honey I washed the kids soap.
Prior to getting the soap dish, I placed them on the plastic wrap that came with it.
And now, its happily sitting on my rabbit-shaped soap dish! It gives me more reason to smile whenever I am bathing because I can spot the rabbit smiling at me while taking the soap bar up.
Okay, this might sound silly but I had no idea how to use a soap bar. It is my first time using a soap bar when I tried using Lush Honey I washed the kids. I was asking my mom if I should wet the bar and lather it or I should wet my skin and rub the soap bar on my skin. Turns out that it should be the latter. Yea, I know I'm ignorant but at least now I know. (:
I'm really liking Lush Honey I washed the kids soap bar. It cleans and moisturizes my skin at the same time. Plus, it smells great! Am so gonna buy a few more to stock up on my next trip there.
I hope you like this post.
Love,
Patricia
So I decided to drop by Watsons, where I get most of my beauty and skincare items from.
And I saw Kate Lasting High Coverage Powder Foundation with limited edition pact case selling at only $34! I like the case, its black and it looks so sophisticated!
You know, I felt so tempted to get it since my current Kate High Coverage pressed powder UV has hit pan. And so far, the Kate products that I have gotten haven't disappointed me.
For those of you whom have been asking which pressed powder am I been using, it is Kate High Coverage pressed powder UV as shown below.
Don't get me wrong, I do love buying mascaras but its just that I wouldn't pay more than $25 for a tube of mascara. And I need to make a confession - I don't own any vibrating or rotating mascaras and I have no idea how good they are. But I am really interested to find out if they are really that good, or if they are better than normal mascaras so please share with me if you have tried them before and tell me when you think of them okay? Will appreciate it loads!
And so I walked out of Watsons empty handed. Can you believe it? I don't know but recently there aren't much products that appeal to me. Marketers ought to work harder to make me spend money!
Like I said, I
I was checking out the makeup and skincare section and there was this promoter whom couldn't stop trying to sell me her company's products. She was like, "Hey little girl, come try our facial scrub. Its really effective. Do you own a scrub?" I was like, "Yes, I have it at home". I think I have at least 3 different facial scrubs, lol. She didn't stop at that, she tried to sell me sunblock lotion. And when I told her I have it at home too, she tried to sell me cleansing wipes. Haha. I think she could have go on and on forever. It is both good and bad to have an aggressive promoter like her as she can really push the products, the only bad thing is that she would probably scare customers off as some customers are likely to see her as being 'pushy'.
I don't know about you but I love checking the tea section out whenever I go to supermarkets. I love tea. In fact all kinds of tea. Its really to the extent whereby you name it, I drink it. My personal favourites includes Japanese Green Tea, Oolong Tea, Earl Grey Tea and English Breakfast Tea.
While checking out the different tea packs on the shelves, Lipton Russian Earl Grey Black Tea captured my attention.
Its looks like a pyramid unlike the boring flat ones!
Just wondering, how do you girls store your tea if you were to bring them out?
To start it off, I always store my tea in my bottle as shown below so that I can drink it on the go.
The last aisle that I went to was - Baby products. You know what? I attracted so many stares from other shoppers. The looks from their face are rather amusing because they looked so confused as to why I am there. Anyway, all I wanted is to get Pigeon baby compact powder.
I haven't tried it on my face yet so I am not sure of the staying power and if it would cause breakouts. I promise I will write a comprehensive review of it once I have tried it out.
That's all for this post and I hope you girls liked it even though it doesn't focus solely on beauty and makeup. I thought that it would be interesting to share other things that I like with you all.
Love,
Patricia
Daiso Haul
(Face wash net, beauty scissors, detergent for women and for puff or sponge)
I went to Daiso with the intention to get the face wash net to faciliate lathering because I recall the merits of using Fancl's facial puff to work out a lather. However, as usual, I walked out with more items than what I have planned to get initially. I was looking for a replacement of the detergent for puff or sponge (because I accidentally dropped my barely used bottle in the toilet bowl) when I saw the detergent for women that caught my interest. I don't know why I haven't seen this product in Daiso before. It claims that it can even remove period stains. I grabbed a bottle since its merely 2 bucks. Although I haven't tried to remove period stains, I must say that this product is worth every penny as it totally removed the rusty-looking stain on one of my new cardigan which I haven't worn once.
I seldom rave about how good a product is, but I must say that I really love how the face wash net from Daiso makes lathering so much easier, without much effort! I am totally impressed by this product. With it, I will not experience any tireness from lathering with my palms.
This is how the face wash net looks like.

Next, I am going to introduce you to yet another holy grail item of mine.
Watsons Haul
(Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel and Canmake Colorful Nails in 01)
Even though I receive many new/different products from skincare companies to try out, Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel is yet one of the items that I always repurchase. I started using the Clear Face range sometime back when I was a Junior in polytechnic. Even though I stopped using the entire Clear Face range now, Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel is still my favourite moisturizer. Why do I say so? Because I know I can count on it to reduce my blemishes or any redness overnight. No other product has worked that well for me. I got curious one day and I started reading the ingredients and I realised that it contains aloe vera. No wonder! Aloe vera helps to treat acne and has smoothing properties.
Don't you all just love Canmake nail polishes? I do, for sure. Anyway, I got this particular Canmake nail polish because I thought that it looked like one of the nail color that Dollywink carries but was out of stock. And it looked similiar, so why not?
The last item that I got was Cosmagic Sweet Deco Cheek in 001.
Sasa.com Haul
(Cosmagic Sweet Deco Cheek in 001)
Its so pretty isn't it? I got it because of the heart shape blush. I want the limited edition Sweet Deco Cheek by Kumicky but its only available in Japan. ): So I guess I have to make do with this for now.
The casing somehow resembles a diamond or crystal (so princessy)! It comes with a powder puff wand as well as a small applicator. I am rather keen to try applying blush with the powder puff wand and see how different it looks!
For those of you whom are keen, here is the step by step guide on how to apply the blush.

I hope that you like this short entry. I will be back with good news to share with you lovelies! Am currently working on something BIG! Check back to find out more!
Love,
Patricia
They are my favorite apart from My Beauty Diary masks. I was first introduced to Dermal masks by my cousin. She loved them so much that she would restock her supply of Dermal masks on each and every trip she made to Korea.

purenavi Foamy Beauty Essence Gel Facial Cleanser, Sally Hansen Mega Shine Top Coat and Manicare Nail Polish Remover
I was looking for a new facial wash because my previous Vichy one is drying my skin out badly. It used to work rather well for me and I have been buying and using it for more than a year.
I was looking though different brands and this caught my attention because it says,
Cleanse your skin thoroughly with soft, gentle foam, enhanced with beauty essence for dewy, smooth skin.
- Formulated with Grapefruit extract and Lemon extract to remove keratin and dead skin cells.
- Enriched with Pure Collagen to lock in your skin's moisture while you cleanse.
- Free of artificial fragrances, coloring and preservatives (Paraben). A formula of specially selected ingredients, with no additives to ensure its mild on the skin
Those words in bold are the ones which caught my attention. As you all know, I love dewy skin so much. A while ago, I was trying to achieve the dewy skin look. Turns out that its so easy. You just need to apply BB Cream alone, without loose powder or pressed powder and use a cream blusher. Furthermore, my other areas of concern includes moisturizing and preservatives free. Apart from Fancl which does the preservatives free part very well, I do not really see other retailers doing it. Hence, without further ado, I placed that into my shopping basket.
After using it for close to 2 weeks, I really like the facial foam. It keeps my face clean after washing yet it doesn't strip the natural oil off my skin. I feel that it does sort of 'plumps' my face up a little, like how your face would feel after using The Face Shop yogurt mask pack. I also really like the fact that my skin does not experience tightness after using it which I had experienced while using ROHTO Mentholatum Acnes Medicated Cream Face Wash.
Overall, I would rate this product 4/5 because I would very much prefer the packaging to be in a pump bottle due to hygiene purpose.
I got this because I left my The Face Shop top coat over at my cousin's place after doing a manicure for her. And also because the Like-Gel top coat which I got from Daiso dries real slow. And also because I read about it being raved as a HG item over at MUA. As you know, I frequent MUA and I would say the reviews do play a part in my buying decision. Its pretty informative and you could read about others opinions before deciding whether to get a product. I think it helps especially when getting a product online which ain't available in your country.
And lastly, I got this nail polish remover from Manicare. Its my favourite and you could probably say, HG. I have been using it since 2005. It smells better than most nail polish remover out there. And no, I am not telling you to smell it though! I just meant that it doesn't stink your nails after removing the polish like other brands do. Plus, its enriched with Vitamin E.
Don't scrimp on nail polish remover girls! I remember there was once when I ran out of nail polish remover and I was at a place which doesn't have Guardian or Watsons but I needed a nail polish remover badly so I grabbed one of those unknown brands. It stung my nail badly and I had so much trouble removing the polish unlike the one from Manicure which would probably take a swipe or two to remove it.
Does anyone watch Glee? I'm currently on Season 1 - Episode 19. Its just so inspiring and I feel that it relates to society and life really well. Especially when its a mixture of school, relationships, family etc. I can't stand Rachel Berry at times because she always think that she's really awesome and good in everything but I love her vocals! Quinn's a real beauty though. I really like Mr Schu though. He's kind of cute.
Before I end this post, I would like to share with you - a current favourite hit of mine.
I hope you enjoy this post and the song as much as I do!
Till then.
♥
