Loaded with the goodness of serum, this multi-tasking mask provides the benefits of a professional facial for women in the comfort of their homes.
It was only when I started working at my current workplace that I realised how patchy/blotchy my makeup look and I couldn't stand it. It makes my face appear as though as its very dry. It would become patchy as soon as an hour after I started work, even if I have used a face primer beforehand. I hated how it looked hence I started experimenting with different combinations of makeup to find out what combination of makeup would make my face appear less patchy/blotchy or look less dry.
In case you are wondering, my normal base makeup routine consists of applying BB cream and pressed powder. And yes, that was the cause of the patchy/blotchy makeup which I experienced.
The different combinations that I have tried out are as follow:
1) Primer, BB cream and loose powder
2) Primer, BB cream and pressed powder
3) BB cream only
Palgantong One Touch BB Cream
Fancl Skin Care Base Liquid, Fancl Liquid Foundation and Lancome Mat Finish
Love,
Patricia
Guess what? When I was about to apply it today, I realised that it was more fluid-like instead. Somehow it reminded me of the La Roche-Posay sunscreen I used after my laser surgery. In case you are wondering, I did not test the texture of the liquid foundation on the back my hand. But I did tested the milky one. I liked the texture of the milky one. However, when the beauty advisor applied both on my neck, I liked the liquid one because the milky one felt sticky. And she said that the milky one provides a thicker coverage (which I am not looking at).
While applying the foundation, I was shocked at how yellowish it was (refer to the picture above), which I am so not used to, because Lancome foundation has a pink undertone unlike Fancl's which has a yellow undertone.
Nevertheless, it looked more natural and well-blended compared to Lancome Teint Idole Ultra after I set it with Lancome Mat Finish
What I liked about Fancl liquid foundation is that that it feels very light on my skin. I feel as though as I am not wearing any makeup and yet it provides light-to-medium coverage. Plus, it doesnt cake/melt at all after I perspire! I say.. Fancl Liquid Foundation is my Holy Grail Foundation! In fact, the fact that I am so impressed with this product makes me so tempted to get more products from there. There they are, my wishlist/to-buy list:
1) FANCL Cover Face Powder
Should I? Should I? But I have yet to finish my Lancome Mat Finish.
2) FANCL Skin Care Base Liquid
3) FANCL Eyelash Curler (Small)
I think this is a good alternative to Shu Uemura mini curler since it ain't available in Singapore.
I had readers requesting for reviews of the Fancl liquid foundation. So I am gonna show you how it looks like on me.
FOTD (Products used):
1) Fancl Liquid Foundation
2) Lancome Mat Finish
3) Lancome Blush Subtil
4) NYX Round Lipstick in Tea Rose (yet another favourite of mine!)
No concealer used because there isn't a need to while using Fancl liquid foundation.
My colleague dropped me off at Choa Chu Kang today after work. It was still early hence I thought I would shop around because I havent been shopping much lately due to my full-time job which takes up so much of my time. First stop was SASA. Went to check out the make up but nothing caught my eye. Second stop was Watsons. BAD MOVE I say. Because I blew $50+ on these. Yeah I know you would say, "What? Makeup again?" How can you resist them? Especially the pretty packaging!
Nevertheless, I am very happy still because I found Majolica Majorca Powder Blush in RD255 which is said to be a close dupe of NARS Orgasm! I had searched high and low for this product but the SA told me that it was discontinued. I even resorted to emailing their head office Shiseido and they replied me saying that its discontinued. And I was so so so sad. But to my delight, I found it! YAYS! I was uncertain when I found it. I was like, "Was it 255 or 225 that I am looking for?" Haha. Grabbed Jeweling eyes in PK785 too, the colors are so pretty! When I was about to go, I saw Ardell lashes and I was reminded that I need to order the Ardell lash growth accelerator either from DS or ask Pris to get it for me. To my amazement, they had it there too. I was like, "Patricia, just get it!" Who cares about it being cheaper buying online than offline. Yours truly doesn't like to wait for shipping! Grabbed that as well. I got myself the Watsons card too. I should have gotten it way earlier since I get my skincare and some makeup items there frequently.
Meeting my 6 lovelies for dinner tmr. Because work is really draining me out. Not that I have a lot to do, but my job is like either I am very busy that I have to work overtime or that I really have nothing much to do.

So today's post would be on two Japanese brands, Kosé and Fancl. Enjoy!

I finally got my Kosé Seikisho Mask White yesterday from Metro Woodlands after so long. I had wanted to get it on several occasions. Imagine how tempted I was when I saw the advertisement on MyPaper which states that its retailing at 1-for-1. I had always thought that its $38 but to my amazement, it was only $35 upon payment. Imagine how surprised I was. Its like such a good deal! I was so excited and I tried it immediately when I reached home. Its really amazing, I saw a great decrease in blackheads and my face definitely looked much smoother and firmer. I say.. go for it! Its super cheap. Imagine my Tea Tree Mask from The Body Shop alone cost $20+, that goes the same for The Face Shop or even more expensive. If you do your maths, Kosé Mask White per tube is like $17.50. You could even share it with your closest girlfriend. I know some guys would be dying to get this as well. Well, at least I know one guy whom is interested in it after I raved about this product to him.
I have been on the lookout for a new foundation for quite some time (I have been very busy with work lately). I contemplated getting either Laneige, Shu Uemura, Clinique or even drugstore brands like Revlon (too bad they do not have the PhotoReady range in Singapore, if not I would have got it). No more Lancome for me because I am opting for a lighter coverage. And so I finally got my new foundation from Jurong Point after having lunch with my colleagues. Guess what? It wasn't even on my list of choices. So I got...
Initially, I wanted to get this instead.
I used to love this Japanese brand so much. Why? Because its preservatives-free! Hence it would not be too harsh on the skin. How could I forget it? Well, I am putting the blame on cosmetics retailers whom bombard the entire market with massive and aggressive marketing tactics everywhere.
The two products which I used to buy frequently from this brand are:
1) Fancl washing powder
I just came back not long ago. Dinner was awesome. Sashimi, loads of soft shell crab sushi, hotate sushi, tofu, croquette, beef sukiyaki etc. No edamame because I got so sick of cooking and eating them at home. One of the reason why I love Japanese food so much is because of Wasabi. I cant get enough of it! Had a super long talk. Thanks for being there dude and cheering me up. (: And.. I got two new hair bands from Helen! YAYS! I love their hair accessories. So feminine and pretty. The only thing is that it costs above average.
There is something I do not understand. When I haven't started working full-time yet and still receiving allowance from my parents, I splurge on things and higher-end brands. Yet, when I start working full-time, I would think twice before getting anything and I mean it literally. I mean, I still buy a lot but the only difference is that - I feel the pinch. Perhaps that is a part in life which I have to go through, while growing up and being financially independent. The thought of it shudders me. I absolutely cannot imagine me handling bills, expenses especially up till now, my handphone bills are paid by my Mommy. I guess growing up comes with a price, which is - I would most probably be seeing my account full of debits due to expenses.
