Tony Moly Reviews (Part 1): Tony Moly Crystal BB Cream in Natural and Party Lover Silky Perfect Primer
Tony Moly Party Lover Silky Perfect Primer
Available in Tony Moly Stores at $49.90
Basically, a primer preps the face so that foundation would go on smoothly. Besides, it allows your makeup to stay on throughout the day.
Tony Moly Party Lover Silky Smooth Primer swatch
I like the fact that the primer is transparent, as some make up primer or base which are beige in color tends to be too light or pinkish for me and it looks very unnatural by the time I finish off with liquid foundation and loose powder.
And I was sharing with you girlies earlier that I was amazed by what this primer could do. So what is it that this primer could do? Upon application, it makes my face really smooth and it makes any application of products be it BB Cream or liquid foundation glide on so well! It really lives up to its name - Silky Smooth Primer! It is also slightly moisturizing as well and gives my face a bit of the dewy look which I like!
Besides, it made my makeup stay on for the entire day till early evening, even though it was a really hot day and I was out since early in the morning. It would really good for work/school since you girlies will be out for almost entire day and great for clubbing as well since all those moves/dancing is likely to make you perspire and you need not worry about your makeup melting away.
I love BB Creams. I have 4 of them, with Tony Moly Crystal BB Cream being the 5th one as well as my latest addition to my collection.
We all know that some BB Creams are so thick that it looks very unnatural after applying it. And I dread that, because I am not a
geisha!

In fact, it is kind of between 2 of my BB Creams with one being very moisturizing and the other having a good coverage. So now I guess, I wouldn't have to mix those 2 BB Creams together anymore because I found my new HG BB Cream which is none other than Tony Moly Crystal BB Cream!
Just to re-highlight what a make up primer could do for you girlies.
Judging from the photo, you could see that the part where I applied primer is much smoother and has a more consistent finish compared to the part without primer.
So, make sure that you girlies apply make up primer so ensure a smoother finish as well as to ensure that your make up stays on longer!
Different ways to wear BB Cream:
1) You could just apply BB Cream after your 3-step skincare (cleanse, tone, moisturize).
2) Apply BB Cream as a primer before liquid foundation and loose powder
3) Apply BB Cream and finish off with loose/pressed powder
There is no best way to wear it. You just have to try and experiment which is the best for you. For me, its the 3rd. I normally apply BB Cream and dab a little of pressed powder to set it.
Before I end this post, here is a face swatch of me wearing Tony Moly Party Lover Silky Smooth Primer Crystal BB Cream as well as a FOTD (it was scotching hot when I took this picture!).

Guess what? When I was about to apply it today, I realised that it was more fluid-like instead. Somehow it reminded me of the La Roche-Posay sunscreen I used after my laser surgery. In case you are wondering, I did not test the texture of the liquid foundation on the back my hand. But I did tested the milky one. I liked the texture of the milky one. However, when the beauty advisor applied both on my neck, I liked the liquid one because the milky one felt sticky. And she said that the milky one provides a thicker coverage (which I am not looking at).
While applying the foundation, I was shocked at how yellowish it was (refer to the picture above), which I am so not used to, because Lancome foundation has a pink undertone unlike Fancl's which has a yellow undertone.
Nevertheless, it looked more natural and well-blended compared to Lancome Teint Idole Ultra after I set it with Lancome Mat Finish
What I liked about Fancl liquid foundation is that that it feels very light on my skin. I feel as though as I am not wearing any makeup and yet it provides light-to-medium coverage. Plus, it doesnt cake/melt at all after I perspire! I say.. Fancl Liquid Foundation is my Holy Grail Foundation! In fact, the fact that I am so impressed with this product makes me so tempted to get more products from there. There they are, my wishlist/to-buy list:
1) FANCL Cover Face Powder
Should I? Should I? But I have yet to finish my Lancome Mat Finish.
2) FANCL Skin Care Base Liquid
3) FANCL Eyelash Curler (Small)
I think this is a good alternative to Shu Uemura mini curler since it ain't available in Singapore.
I had readers requesting for reviews of the Fancl liquid foundation. So I am gonna show you how it looks like on me.
FOTD (Products used):
1) Fancl Liquid Foundation
2) Lancome Mat Finish
3) Lancome Blush Subtil
4) NYX Round Lipstick in Tea Rose (yet another favourite of mine!)
No concealer used because there isn't a need to while using Fancl liquid foundation.
My colleague dropped me off at Choa Chu Kang today after work. It was still early hence I thought I would shop around because I havent been shopping much lately due to my full-time job which takes up so much of my time. First stop was SASA. Went to check out the make up but nothing caught my eye. Second stop was Watsons. BAD MOVE I say. Because I blew $50+ on these. Yeah I know you would say, "What? Makeup again?" How can you resist them? Especially the pretty packaging!
Nevertheless, I am very happy still because I found Majolica Majorca Powder Blush in RD255 which is said to be a close dupe of NARS Orgasm! I had searched high and low for this product but the SA told me that it was discontinued. I even resorted to emailing their head office Shiseido and they replied me saying that its discontinued. And I was so so so sad. But to my delight, I found it! YAYS! I was uncertain when I found it. I was like, "Was it 255 or 225 that I am looking for?" Haha. Grabbed Jeweling eyes in PK785 too, the colors are so pretty! When I was about to go, I saw Ardell lashes and I was reminded that I need to order the Ardell lash growth accelerator either from DS or ask Pris to get it for me. To my amazement, they had it there too. I was like, "Patricia, just get it!" Who cares about it being cheaper buying online than offline. Yours truly doesn't like to wait for shipping! Grabbed that as well. I got myself the Watsons card too. I should have gotten it way earlier since I get my skincare and some makeup items there frequently.
Meeting my 6 lovelies for dinner tmr. Because work is really draining me out. Not that I have a lot to do, but my job is like either I am very busy that I have to work overtime or that I really have nothing much to do.
Hope you liked the post. Do leave your comments, questions at my tagboard and I will answer them accordingly. (:
FOTD (Products used):
1) Koji Eye Talk
2) Lancome Teint Idole Ultra
3) MAC Select Moisturecover
4) Lancome Mat Finish
5) Lancome Blush Subtil
6) MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil #Engraved (For tightlining)
7) Beautify Transplating Gel and Natural Fibre (One coat)
8) NYX Round Lipstick in Indian Pink
9) NYX Round Lipgloss in Whipped
I really liked how I did my eyes. For once, it looks bigger. Haha. I felt in love with tightlining almost immediately when I saw the results. What's not to like about it? It makes my eyes appear larger without being afraid that it might smudge! But I really dont like my nose. Its so big and flat. I remember I once read in Cleo that now one can inject nose fillers to make the nose bridge higher without having to go through surgery. If I never remember wrongly, its about say $700+ per shot at Camden Medical.
My current favourites include NYX Round Lipstick in Indian Pink. Its really pretty!!! Especially when topped with my all-time favourite NYX Round Lipgloss in Whipped. I use my NYX Round Lipgloss in Whipped almost on top of every other lipstick to 'seal' and matify the color.
Some of the mascaras which I have tried:
1) Loreal Double Extension Mascara

2) Fasio Mascara Base and Hyper Stay Mascara Shock Free Curl
3) Maybelline Unstoppable Mascara
and even the latest one which I bought from Rimmel failed to show me results.
4) Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara
Of the four, I would say I like the Maybelline and Rimmel ones the most because the Maybelline one can separate each lashes beautifully and its easy to remove but it smudges easily. The Rimmel one gives the most volume and curl among all and I liked the fact that the brushes are curved for easy application. However, it smudges easily too. As for the Fasio and Loreal ones, I didnt liked it because it makes eyelashes look clumpy which equates to a heavy look so they are definitely a no-no.
Alright, back to my Holy Grail Mascara, Beautify Transplanting gel and natural fibre.
Why do I call it my Holy Grail Mascara? Because..
1) It does not clump
2) It really lengthens my short eyelashes
3) It gives volume
4) It doesnt smudge any all when I was out for the entire day!
5) Its easy to remove (just use warm water)!
I first discovered this when my cousin, Ebony asked me to do her makeup for Chinese New Year &my Aunt passed me her Dior makeup palette and Beautify Transplanting gel and natural fibre. And I was sold because the effects could be seen and its really pretty. Dont believe me? Check out the pictures below.
Check out those long lashes on the middle of her left eye and sides of the right eye.
I love the way I did her eyes.
Products used:
1) Dior palette
2) Beautify Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibre
3) Maybelline's Pink Please Lipstick (my all-time favourite)!
4) NYX Round Lipgloss in Whipped (A nude color which I apply on top of lipstick everytime)
I knew I had to get it so I went online to search for it but to my disappointment, its not available in Singapore.
To my surprise, my Aunt surprised my cousins and I with one each on my Grandpa's birthday! Oh my, I absolutely love it! Thank you Aunt. (:
And so.. I did my makeup today using it. Here are the pictures. I only did my left eye so that you would be able to see the difference and compare.
Pardon me for my messy and stray hair for I just came out from a bath.
